DE~MYSTIFYING THE STIGMA OFTEN RAISED AGAINST THE ISLAMIC FAITH

Nigerian author Chimamanda
Adichie believes in the power of
stories, and warns that hearing
only one about a people or
nation leads to ignorance. She
says the truth is revealed by
many tales {CNN Articles}.

The author of the story 'the danger of a single story' revealed that her university roommate's perception of Africa is that of "A single story of CATASTROPHE".

This article intends to de~emphasise the single story of "TERRORISM" often told about the Islamic faith, especially in the west.

The precepts and ethics of Islam should be the yardstick of judging the Islamic faith, rather than seeing Islam as what a very few number of some so called muslims perpetrate, in the guise of being on an Islamic mission.

My Advocacies are as listed below:
~Islam should be studied and viewed holistically from the perspective of its 'what~ought~to~be' components, rather than judging Islam by what some few muslims do.

~All religious groups should learn to tolerate one another, despite their religious, doctrinal and ideological idiosyncratic perceptions.

God willing, this article will be further reviewed to manifest the case studies of single stories often told about islam, their effects, and my perceptual remedy to solve their concomitant problems.

Glorified and Exalted be the Lord of the worlds, and may Peace be upön all and sundry, AMEN!!!
